Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG)

This programme is designed to academically qualify future leaders in politics, law, economics and administration according to the principles of Good Governance and to prepare them in a praxis-oriented course for their professional life. • Applicants must be very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries.

  • The applicant's most recent academic degree must have been obtained within the last six years.

African Regional Networks

In order to support South-South networking and exchange, DAAD supports selected African Regional Networks through individual scholarships for postgraduate students. These scholarships (Master, PhD) are open to postgraduate students from Sub-Saharan African countries who want to pursue their degree at an African university outside their home country. The focus is on strengthening university staff development through the training of young university staff members or candidates considered for teaching / research staff recruitment. Applications have to be submitted to these networks only. DAAD does not accept applications sent directly to the head office in Germany.
