In March 2001 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Foundation and the DAAD to encourage young Hong Kong scholars to go to Germany for study and research.
The programme was renewed in 2005. Under this Memorandum, DAAD will disseminate information on universities and research institutions throughout Germany and help identify the most appropriate host institution. Supervision will be conducted in English but the DAAD will also provide financial support for German language training if desired. In return, the Croucher Foundation undertakes to provide comprehensive financial support like fees, living expenses, air fare, etc., to these young researchers, on terms comparable to its Fellowship and Scholarship schemes. Please check the Croucher Foundation homepage for further details.
