To all students applying on self-finance basis:

It has come to our attention that some agencies and private consultants are charging heavy fees from students under the pretense name/ banner of DAAD and Study in Germany.

Please be aware that neither DAAD Bonn, DAAD IC Islamabad, public German universities nor the German Embassy/ Consulate General cooperate with any private agencies, nor do they accept any applications through a third party. Our guidance/ counseling, application forms and information material are free of charge. DAAD and most German universities "do not charge any application fees". Thus, nobody outside these institutions is entitled to charge any such fees or accept applications on behalf of DAAD, the German Embassy/ Consulate General or any public German university.

To all applicants for study visa:

Please note that the waiting time for appointments at the visa section in Islamabad may be two months or more. We thus strongly advise you to book your appointment well in advance (2 - 3 months before requested appointment), even if some documents are still pending. Free movers waiting for a letter of admittance should fix an appointment even before they are granted admittance from any German university. There is also the possibility to apply for a student applicant visa. Please do not forget to cancel the appointment in case you no longer intend to apply. As a rule, DAAD cannot take out appointments for you.
