About us

About us

The DAAD Information Centre created in 2009 serves Cameroon entirely. Its role is to represent the DAAD, which is an association of German institutes of higher education, in Cameroon.

The Information Centre mainly informs students, lecturers and Cameroonian researchers on German universities and scientific institutions. We also make DAAD scholarship programmes available in Cameroon and guide candidates during the application process.

We assist German students, academics and academic or research institutions at establishing contacts with Cameroon in the domains of internships, research or study visits and partnerships. Establishing new partnerships between Cameroonian and German universities and research institutions remains a main goal of our activity.

Since May 2010, the Centre is lodged in the new pedagogic block of the University of Yaoundé I. This office was officially opened on 27th October 2010 by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Cameroonian Minister of Higher Education. Nevertheless our outbuilding office at the Goethe-Institut Yaoundé in Bastos is still available.

Our team:

Mathias Donfouet is Programme Manager and Assistant of the director.

Jean-Paul Sandjock is an Academic Adviser.
